MWMSD chose not to renew its ANCC Accredited Provider Unit of continuing nursing education in the current cycle due to limitations in fiscal and human resources. At this time, no educational activities are being planned for 2018. Any education that is to be offered by MWMSD in the future, including the APRN Pharmacology Update or the Annual Convention, will need to be planned by a nurse planner who will pursue planning and approval by the Midwest Multistate Division or jointly plan and provide the education with an Arkansas Approved Provider Unit. Perhaps an APRN could plan and provide the Pharmacology Update, if it is desired. Along with the dissolution of MWMSD’s Accredited Provider Unit on December 31st, 2017, the term of the Lead Nurse Planner also concluded.
